DHIS Secondary Lembang is increasingly demonstrating its commitment as a globally standard school with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based educational approach. As a STEM School, DHIS consistently implements STEM Learning, organizes STEM Exhibition Projects, and actively participates in various STEM Competitions at both national and international levels.
The year 2024 marks an important milestone for DHIS Secondary Lembang, after successfully achieving the National Champion title in the STEM competition and being selected as Indonesia's official representative in the prestigious global event: The 8th Belt & Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop in China. This event is organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST) and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province.
The event brought together the best students from the Belt & Road Initiative countries to share innovations, collaborate on research, and showcase future technology projects.
Not stopping there, in 2025 DHIS once again achieved remarkable success by sending two teams to an international event.
A team from the high school level consisting of Andhika, Benito, Luqman, and Ihsan from grade 12 represents Indonesia in the World GreenMerch Competition 2025 held in Taiwan, a global competition that emphasizes environmentally friendly innovations and sustainable products.
The team from the junior high school level, consisting of Ghazi and Azhar, successfully achieved 1st place nationally in the STEM Creativity Competition 2025 held at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung. This team will represent Indonesia in the 19th International Mathematical Science Creativity Competition (IMSCC) 2025, which will be held at the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) in South Korea.
The Principal of DHIS Secondary Lembang, Mr. Ilyas Nasruloh, expressed his pride in the achievements of the students.
"This is clear evidence that the STEM approach we implement has equipped our students with 21st-century skills: critical thinking, collaboration, innovation, and global awareness. We are committed to continuously being a school that encourages students not just to excel, but also to make a real impact in the world."
With consecutive achievements over the past two years, DHIS Secondary Lembang has further established itself as a pioneer of STEM-based education in Indonesia, capable of competing and contributing on the international stage.
